This is the part of Singapore’s mental health system that most people do not know exists, and it is free.
- CREST, the Community Outreach Team, is the general first stop: outreach, early identification, emotional support and referral.
- CREST-CSN is for caregivers at risk of burnout or depression. CREST-Youth is the youth-facing arm. CREST-PDS provides post-diagnostic support after a dementia diagnosis.
- COMIT, the Community Intervention Team, is staffed by qualified mental health professionals and provides counselling, case management, psychotherapy and caregiver support for identified needs.
- ASCAT provides clinical consultation and shared care, and an Aftercare Programme handles transitional support for complex cases.
All of it is government funded. You pay nothing.
