Established in 1966 and now under Methodist Welfare Services, the Counselling and Care Centre is open to everyone regardless of income, ethnicity or religion. The work is clinical psychotherapy, using systemic family therapy approaches. It is not religious counselling.

Fees are on a sliding scale based on income. No referral is needed; you can register online or by phone. The centre also trains social service professionals and provides employee assistance programmes to employers.
