Caregivers Alliance Limited

Fully funded caregiver training programmes for families of people with mental health issues, and a separate dementia stream.

Caregivers Alliance runs the Caregivers-to-Caregivers training programme, known as C2C. All programmes are fully funded, meaning free for participants.

Programmes

  • C2C for caregivers of persons with mental health issues. Twelve weeks, run at multiple locations across Singapore. Covers mental health conditions, how the brain is affected, medications, communication strategies, and recovery and resilience.
  • Young Caregivers programme. Eight sessions for caregivers aged 15 to 35. Covers a holistic view of mental health and caregiving, problem-solving, empathy and communication.
  • C2C for dementia. Eight weeks. Covers understanding and managing dementia, challenging behaviours, and distinguishing dementia from normal signs of ageing.

The organisation has also offered supplementary training on specialised topics including eating disorders and mindfulness, and suggests newcomers begin with the main C2C programme.
